For Nicolas Ospina Ramírez, studying the Master’s in Marketing and Sales Management at EAE Barcelona was a transformative experience that combined academic learning, personal skills development, and opportunities for professional growth. In addition to speaking highly of the programme’s subjects, he particularly highlights the soft skills courses, networking events, support from the Career Advisors, and the international experience he had in India.

“My experience at EAE Business School has been transformative and enriching.”

An education that combines technical knowledge with personal skills

One of the aspects Nicolas highlights from his time on the Master’s programme is the quality of the core subjects, which enabled him to build a solid foundation of technical knowledge and skills relevant to his professional development.

However, for Nicolas, one of the aspects that really set the programme apart was the additional training focused on soft skills. These courses gave him the opportunity to develop competencies he considers essential for succeeding in the workplace.

“The soft skills courses helped me develop essential competencies such as leadership, effective communication and time management.”

From his perspective, this combination of technical knowledge and personal skills provided him with more well-rounded preparation for professional challenges. For Nicolas, developing skills in leadership, communication and time management was just as important as gaining specific knowledge in marketing and sales.

Networking to connect with companies and discover new opportunities

The networking events organised throughout the Master’s in Marketing and Sales Management were another key part of his experience.

Through these events, Nicolas had the opportunity to meet and connect with leading companies in Barcelona. As well as expanding his professional network, these interactions gave him a better understanding of the different career opportunities available in the job market.

“The networking events were an invaluable opportunity to meet and connect with leading companies in the city.”

For him, these events offered more than just new contacts: they also gave him a clearer perspective on different industries and the potential career paths he could pursue.

“These interactions expanded my professional network and gave me a clearer understanding of the different opportunities and sectors in which I could build my career.”

Support from Career Advisors in the job search

Nicolas also particularly values the support he received from the Career Advisors office. Their guidance and the resources provided throughout the recruitment process helped him strengthen his professional profile and present himself more competitively to employers.

“The support from the Career Advisors office was another crucial part of my experience at EAE.”

As he explains, this support had a direct impact on his preparation for recruitment processes and ultimately helped him secure a competitive position in the job market.

“Their guidance and resources were instrumental in strengthening my profile throughout the recruitment process, helping me stand out from other candidates.”

An international experience in India

The international dimension also played an important role in his experience. During the Master’s programme, Nicolas had the opportunity to take part in a trip to India, an experience that complemented his academic studies by offering a different cultural and professional perspective.

“The opportunity to take part in an international trip to India significantly enriched my education during the Master’s programme.”

This trip gave him the opportunity to experience different ways of working and learning, while also broadening his understanding of international dynamics.

“This experience gave me a global perspective, helped me better understand international dynamics, and allowed me to learn from different cultures and ways of working.”

An experience focused on professional and personal development

Looking back on his time at EAE Barcelona, Nicolas highlights the combination of academic learning, personal skills development, and practical experiences. For him, the value of the programme lay not only in the subjects themselves, but also in the opportunities to connect with companies, enhance his employability, and broaden his international perspective.
