For Matias Gutman, studying the Master’s in Digital Marketing & E-commerce in Barcelona was an experience that went far beyond academics. Living on another continent, becoming more independent, and taking part in both classes and extracurricular activities were all part of a period he describes as particularly enriching.

“My experience studying for my Master’s in the city has been one of the most enriching experiences of my life in many different ways.”

Living in Barcelona and gaining independence

One of the aspects Matias highlights most from this period is the personal experience of living independently on another continent. Beyond the knowledge he gained during the Master’s programme, adapting to a new environment helped him become more self-reliant in his day-to-day life.

“The experience of living independently on another continent has given me the tools to become more self-reliant and responsible.”

For Matias, studying in Barcelona therefore meant taking on new responsibilities and learning to navigate everyday life independently. This personal dimension was an important part of his experience and complemented the learning he gained during the Master’s in Digital Marketing & E-commerce.

An experience that goes beyond the classroom

His experience at EAE Barcelona went beyond academic learning. Matias speaks positively about the classes and the knowledge he gained throughout the programme, while also highlighting the opportunity to take part in activities beyond the classroom.

“I’m very happy to have had this experience at EAE, as I not only took part in enriching classes and coursework, but also in extracurricular activities.”

These activities broadened his overall student experience and allowed him to enjoy other aspects of academic life. Among them, he mentions sports initiatives, such as football, as well as networking events.

Extracurricular activities and networking

Taking part in complementary activities was another factor that contributed to Matias’s positive experience in Barcelona. Networking events and extracurricular activities allowed him to complement what he learned in class with different opportunities to connect and get involved.

“I took part in extracurricular activities, such as football and networking events.”

Experiences like these were part of a period that Matias looks back on as a whole: not only for what he learned during the Master’s programme, but also for the opportunities to connect with others, take part in activities, and experience the city on a personal level.

An experience he would recommend to those around him

Looking back on his time on the Master’s in Digital Marketing & E-commerce, Matias is satisfied both with the academic experience and with everything he experienced beyond the classroom.

His time in Barcelona allowed him to combine academic learning, independence, new responsibilities, and extracurricular activities in an environment different from his home country. For him, the value of the experience lies precisely in this combination of academic and personal growth.

«Overall, I am very satisfied with the experience and I recommend it to my friends and family.”.
