🚀 What an enriching experience it has been to complete the Diploma in Agile Project Management at EAE Business School!
Beyond the certification itself 📜, this journey allowed me to take analytics management and data governance to a new level of maturity within my professional environment. 💡📊
One of the biggest takeaways was learning how to implement the full Scrum lifecycle and adapt it to the fast-paced, ever-changing reality of advanced data analytics ⚡📈, where priorities constantly shift and the business needs quick, strategic, and well-structured responses.
Before starting this process, many requests came in without clear prioritization, traceability, or well-defined expectations. This led to rework, unnecessary pressure, constant shifts in focus, and limited visibility into the team’s actual workload. 😵💫
Applying agile ways of working didn’t just help us “work faster”; it helped us work with greater clarity, structure, and business value. 🚀
Throughout this learning experience, I was able to apply many agile concepts directly to managing the analytics team and handling data requests, implementing practices such as:
✨ Requirement intake forms
✨ Backlog management in Asana
✨ Request prioritization and triage
✨ Sprint planning and execution tracking
✨ UAT and functional validation
✨ Definition of Done (DoD)
✨ Estimation using Story Points
✨ Visual work management and continuous tracking
✨ Organizing operational workflows with an Agile approach
Thanks to this, we were able to:
✅ Greater traceability and control over requests
✅ Better communication between business and analytics
✅ Reduced rework and unnecessary urgent requests
✅ Greater visibility into the team’s capacity and workload
✅ More organized, value-driven delivery
✅ A significant step forward in data governance maturity and data strategy 📊🔥
I’m very grateful to the professors:
👨🏫 Marcelo Granieri
👨🏫 Diego Lionel González
And also to my classmates for sharing ideas, lessons learned, and real-world challenges throughout this experience:
🤝 Luz Lescano Chuzon, Carlos Alberto De León Mayorga, Ana Carolina Zamora Morales and Sofia Anabel Paz Flores✨
We continue to grow, learn, and build more agile, strategic, and value-driven teams. 🚀📈
